Early 20th Cent. Ivory Bachi, Shamisen Pick or Plectrum

A Taisho Period (1912-1926) Bachi of Fine Ivory. This is a pick (or plectrum) used to play the shamisen, a traditional Japanese musical instrument. It was purchased in Komatsu, Japan by a renowned author on and collector of Asian art. 8.5 inches, 21.5 cm tall. Excellent Condition.
