As I've noted many times before Kako Katsumi challenges his art with passion, spirit, skill and a fine sense of design. Out of the blue his Muses decided to direct him to Raku chawan. And thus he built a Raku single chawan fire kiln and created some truly fine Raku chawan, of which we selected six. They are all quite light, low-fired (as all Raku is) and have Raku red glazes as well as Ohi cream. This low, wide-faced chawan is a delight to hold in the hands, as I've noted before of good chawan, a hand held poem-prayer. It's paddled textured and has an ancient aura to it already. In perfect condition with a signed box, 6.5cm.tallx14x13.5, signed on base. Other chawan preview photos gladly sent on request.
