Sales Policy
Our dolls are shipped by USPS Priority Mail, or Parcel Post. Buyers are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs. Full insurance is required on all parcels. There is no handling fee.

Domestic Customers: We accept personal checks, POSTAL money orders, or Paypal. All checks will be held until clear. Postal Money Orders and Paypal will ship immediately. Paypal addresses must be verified, and parcels will only be shipped to the verified address on the Paypal account.

International Customers: We accept Paypal (verified accounts), international POSTAL money orders payable in USD, or Bank Wire transfers. The full amount paid for the item will be declared on the customs form.

Unless otherwise agreed to in advance: if you choose to make payment via Paypal, the total payment including shipping costs is due within 3 days of purchase. Checks must be received within 7 days of purchase.

Please Note: Items are not on hold while you are asking questions, negotiating offers, or otherwise considering a purchase.

Layaway on items over $800.


We endorse the Doll Shops United site-wide policy which reads as follows:

Doll Shops United (DSU) maintains a site-wide return policy that outlines the core guidelines to which all shops must adhere. Individual shops may, at their discretion, offer a more liberal return policy. Layaways are not subject to the site-wide return policy. Those policies are set by individual shop owners and published on their shop's "Sales Policy" page.

Please read the Return Policy of the shop you do business with before completing your order. Shop policies will state any restocking fees, requirements for insurance and tracking, and any instructions for safe packaging of the return. The individual doll shops at Doll Shops United agree to abide by our published Code of Ethics which goes hand in hand with our Return Policy.

If you are not happy with your purchase please follow these steps:

Contact the doll shop within 48 hours of receipt to request a return.

Once the shop owner has acknowledged the return, you will then have 4 days from acknowledgement to ship the item back to the shop in accordance with the shop's policy for insurance and tracking.

Typically, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Once the returned item is received by the originating shop, the contents will be inspected to verify completeness and condition as sent, and the shop will have a maximum of 4 days to refund the buyer.

We offer a 6 month layaway plan for purchases. The Doll Shops United Policy does not apply to layaway purchases. Items returned after a layaway is complete are subject to a 10% restocking fee and shop credit is issued in lieu of a refund. Prices are firm on all layaways. Initial deposit is due at the time of purchase. $400-$600 (60 days/3 equal payments) $700-$1000 (4 months/4 equal payments) $1,000-up (Up to 6 months, exceptions made for very large purchases. Feel free to ask!) PLEASE NOTE: If buyer fails to meet the obligations of the terms and conditions of the layaway agreement, a shop credit will be issued in lieu of a cash refund. Payments that are more than THREE WEEKS late will be considered in default and are considered to be in violation of the layaway agreement. If difficulty arises in meeting a monthly payment, please communicate in advance so that special arrangements can be considered.
