This colorful, basse-taille and champleve enameled charm of a stork flying to deliver a baby is beautiful and adorable. The enamel is perfect in white, orange, green, tan, blue and black. The hand etched design on the sterling silver beneath the white enamel consists of strokes in different directions depicting feathers. This makes for a pearly white. The design beneath the orange sack has the strokes as well as dots. The back is marked “MEXICO 925” and eagle “15” mark. Although eagle number “15” was used by such famous silversmiths as Los Castillo and Antonio Pineda, this piece was very, very likely to have been made by Castelan who used only eagle number “15” and did some work with silver and enamel (although, he worked mostly with just sterling silver). The charm measures 1” x 5/8” and is in excellent condition. FREE US STANDARD S/H
