The two pairs of earrings are button and dangle, and the oblong silver pendant mounting holds a lovely oval tropical beach scene. The silver chain is 18" long, and for some reason has a 12 k white gold clasp. [Sometimes I don't understand people.] The exact age is unknown, but painted butterfly wing jewelry was popular from the 30s through the 50s.

This Art Nouveau lavalier is 10 k gold and is set with a garnet/glass doublet* The pendant is 1 1/4" x 5/8" in size and is on a 16" gold filled chain. The dropper is a fresh water pearl. * Garnet glass doublets were popular in Victorian/Art Nouveau times; molded glass 'stones' were topped with a thin slice of garnet. Color comes from the glass, as the garnet is so thin that the red color is not apparent. Email me for information about the process.
