This is a swag [or garland] necklace of silver-set moonstone cabochons. The chains connecting the stones are low-grade silver or base metal. A turn-of-the-century piece to wear with pleasure. The necklace is 15" long.

This adorable pin is a fierce but friendly dragon made of 14k gold. It is a watch pin set with nine graduated seed pearls and is 1 1/2 X 1/2". He's turn of the century and would love to ride on your shoulder!

French jewelry really has the Wow factor! This 18 k gold ring is set with a ruby and a rose-cut diamond, flanked by six seed pearls [one imitation]. The ring has been sized in the past. The French eagle, indicating 18 k gold, is present. Size 6.

A lovely English-made buckle ring with scroll detail ornamenting. It is hallmarked for Birmingham and 9 ct. There is no date mark, but a 1976 control mark. The maker's mark is RP. The ring is approximately size 8 3/4.

Here is a lovely Art Nouveau lavaliere, made of 9 ct gold and set with amethysts [the smaller stones] and a garnet/glass doublet. It is 2" x 1", and is on a 16" modern 14 k gold chain. Circa 1900.

This classically beautiful stickpin is 14 & 18 k gold set with a gorgeous bluish-grey moonstone. The pin is marked 14 k and has a maker's mark [unidentified] FB. The moonstone head is 1/4" in diameter; overall length of the pin is 2 3/8".

This is a lovely and slightly unusual sterling and lapis Arts & Crafts pin from the turn of the century. The motif is leaves and berries; the stone is a lapis lazuli cabochon. The pin is ~ 2" in length and is signed with adorsed Cs, the mark of an unknown company which has left a legacy of these lovely pins.

This charming little Victorian pin is gold filled. It is set with pastes and has seven ball dangles along with a chain attached to a matching stickpin for safety. The pin is a generous 1 1/2" and has the maker's mark PC Co. Circa 1880

So cute, and so hopeful! This jade charm is a money bag with sterling dollar sign and tie. The charm is 1" x 1/2".

This 14 k gold ring features a semiconductor device design accented with a brilliant-cut diamond. The ring is a size 10 and bears the maker's mark TerryBerry. This is a modern company that makes commemorative jewelry. And there's a matching tie tack for $75.

This lavalier is Art Nouveau in design. It is made of 10 k gold, and is set with a garnet/glass doublet* The pendant is 1 1/4" x 5/8" in size and is on a 16" gold filled chain. * Garnet glass doublets were made in Victorian/Art Nouveau times; molded glass 'stones' were topped with a thin slice of garnet. Color comes from the glass, as the garnet is so thin that the red color is not apparent. Email for a writeup on the process.

During the Victorian era, every young gentleman had to make his Grand Tour, picking up souvenirs along the way.
