2003 ¼ OZ 25 EURO AUSTRIAN PHILHARMONIC GOLD COIN
For auction is a 2003, ¼ oz. 999.9 Fine, 24K gold pristine Austrian philharmonic coin. This incredibly beautiful coin is in superb BU condition with no marks or wear of any kind and has been kept protected in plastic since we purchased it in 2003. Designer: Thomas Pesendorfer Weight: 7.776g Diameter: 22mm Thickness: 1.2mm Year: 2003 Mintage: 34,019 "The Vienna Philharmonic commemorative coin is struck in pure gold, 999.9 fine, and issued every year. It is used as an investment product (bullion coin), although it almost always in ends up in the hands of collectors. According to the World Gold Council, it was the best selling gold coin in 1992, 1995 and 1996 world wide. A harmonious design of musical instruments representing the world famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra appears on the reverse side of the coin. The great organ in the Golden Hall in Vienna's concert hall (Musikverein) is the theme for the obverse side of the coin. This is the home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Also featured on this side are the face value in Austrian Schillings plus the weight, fineness and year of issue."
