Two rare well carved Pyu stone elephants. These are a type of micro carvings that the Pyu period is noted for. There are holes drilled in both of the elephants for stringing. Condition: No repairs or chips. Some dirt still adhering to them that can be removed by soaking.

In Hindu and Buddhist mythology, a Naga is a semidivine being, half human and half dragon serpent. Nagas can assume either wholly human or wholly serpentine form. They live in an underground kingdom filled with beautiful palaces that are adorned with gems. Size; 90cm X 70cm. Condition: two age cracks between the head and body. Overall in very good condition.

A very large and rare unique lacquer panel screen with a variety of stone carvings of Quanyin and Her Disciples. The carved gold leaf panels most likely depict the life of the owner. A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. They were then traded off to Chieftains in Southeast Asia and were considered sacred items. Most jars were from the Ming to the middle Qing Dynasties. A very rare large gilded Royal Thayo receptacle created in Mandalay for Buddhist votive use. Thayo is made by mixing lacquer with sifted paddy husks to which pulverized bone is added for strength, resulting in a sort of plastic like material easily molded or stamped in a relief design. A very rare nicely moulded vase with a long ribbed neck that flares to a hexafoil rim. The hexagonal body is moulded with bands of flowers. The lower band has alternating patterns of lotus flowers and lotus leaves. There are two lion masks at opposite sides at the shoulder. The vase is covered in a light olive-grey glaze. Period: Yuan - 13th/14th Century Size: Height = 14.4 cm (5-11/16 inches) Condition: Tiny barely noticeable chip at the rim of the mouth otherwise perfect.
