A rare detailed Votive Tablet showing Buddha in the "buhumisparsamudra" earth touching position surrounded by stupas with an inscription at the bottom of the Buddha. Age: Pagan Period 10th Century. Size: H. 17cm. W. 12cm.

A realistically formed figure of a resting sheep. The sheep is the eighth Chinese zodiac sign. The hollow form has two glazes - an overall straw-colored clear glaze with a drizzle of amber glaze that drips over its left side. The glazes have now turned iridescent from age - the amber glaze has a golden sheen...

A votive prayer container in silver with the a Tibetan bronze character in relief on the front. The silver is incised with leaf and flower patterns. The inside has a votive tablet bronze tablet of a Tibetan god astride a makara. There are also 2 prayer sheets, one hand-lettered, the other block printed.

A relief-moulded lacquer receptacle from Mandalay with a finial insert of a Brahmani bird duck,lavishly gilded and glass inlaid. Size: H. 51cm. W. 20cm. Condition: No repairs. An small age crack on the base. See last photo.

An unusual Tang pottery of a standing dwarf wearing a robe and panted in orange pigments. He has a stocky figure and a sweet countenance on his downward tilt head. He is full of character. Figures such as these are considered a symbol of good luck and are not easy to find. Age: 618 - 907 AD. Size: H. 10.5cm. W. 6cm.

A unusual yellow six sided Nonya plate with a peach and bats for good luck. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: W. 15.2cm. Condition: No repairs or chips.

A rare lacquered elmwood 18th century classical folding stool. The rattan seat has been professionally restored and all the hardware and wood is original. Size: H. 36cm. W. 35cm x 45cm. Age: Early Qing Dynasty.

A votive portable prayer altar with a bronze botisattva on the front, in relief, sitting on a lotus pedestal. it is surrounded by incised leaf and flower patterns. Inside is a statue of Buddha and there are two prayer sheets (one hand printed and one block printed).

Neolithic polished stone adze from Southeast Asia and we commonly used during the bronze age and some were placed as mortuary offerings. Size: L. 13 cm. W. 8.5cm. Condition: Normal chips along the edges.

A Japanese sword "menuki" of 3 sparrows that was converted into an obidome during the Taisho period. The bronze color of the metal gives a naturalistic brown coloration to the birds--their beaks, eyes and feet are highlighted in gold. The fitted back is in 9 karat gold. Age: Menuki 18th century.

A pair of very small translucent pale blue-green glass earrings most likely for a child.. The glass is in the form of a medium-thick oval hoop that tapers at the ends. There is some soil encrustation on the surface from being buried.These come from Vietnam or Cambodia. Size: Diameter: 1.7cm. Condition: Very good.

A well done rare large carving of a stone sitting Han dog or lion. This stone dog was must probably used as a tomb guardian. Very Heavy. Size:H. 42cm -16.5 inches
