A 19th - early 20th century very large "Yun" lacquered betel box with incised design of royal scenes and dancing girls. The box is divided into four pieces. The bottom part for betel leaves and the top part for lime, areca nuts, clove and other ingredients. Size:H. 25.5cm Diameter: 27cm. Condition: No repairs, an old chip on upper rim and some age cracks on the two bottoms. See last photos.

A rare slope-shouldered bronze bell with stand from the Dong Son culture in Vietnam. At the shoulders and at the base are large curl designs with a bull's head in the center and animals around the bell.

Period: Dong Son Culture - 300-200 BC.

Condition: The clanger is missing. It has an attractive mottled patina. The stand comes with the bell.

The beautiful bird duck Hintha remains a beloved symbol of the Mon people.The hintha bird is the symbol of Burma. In India it is the mount of the god Brahma, though it has lost this function in Burma. Size: H. 59cm.(23 inches) W. 48cm. (19 inches) Condition: Very good. There is a metal support rod supporting the birds weight. It might have separated from the legs at one point.
