A Nonya ware bowl from the Tonzhi reign with a beautiful painted Crane and floral design.The Crane signifies longevity. Nonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nonyas, hence the term Nonya ware. A unusual well carved ancient jade pendant with a stylized head of a pig on top and tapering down into a fang or a claw.. The upper part of the jade is of a black and tan color and the tail is translucent. There is a hole at the back of the mouth for stringing. I date this piece to be either Eastern Zhou or Warring States period. Size: L. 4.7cm. W. 1.2cm. Condition: See last photo.
