The lid of the hill jar represent the five scared mountains which is the path between the earth and Paradise.The scared mountains is filled with animals that live there. A very rare Bronze Seal that was used as a pendant with an old glass bead. There are still remnants of the gold leaf surrounding the seal. I judge it as a Han seal or earlier. I have never came across one like this before

A beautiful rare blackwood cabinet with symbolic carvings of a bat for long life and prosperity and happiness and the pair of fish for abundance and wealth and harmony. The cabinet comes with the original stand that is missing the two drawers. It is very rare to find the cabinet with the original stand. The items inside the cabinet do not come with the cabinet. Size: H. 193cm, L. 92cm W' 40cm. Condition: No repairs.

A pair of nicely formed hollow glazed pottery birds. Both have round plump figures and lots of character. The darker bird has two glazes - a brown splash of glaze that runs over a straw glaze. The lighter bird has a celadon colored glaze. The glaze on both birds have a very fine crackle.

Period: Tang (7th-10th Century)

Size: Both birds approximately 4.7 cm high.

A very large museum quality blue cobalt Jar. It is very, very rare to find this type of vase in cobalt blue, especially in this size and condition. The center of the vase has a relief of a dragon chasing the elusive flaming pearl. Size: H. 92.8cm. W. 46cm. Condition: Very good with no repairs or missing parts. One side has some calcification from being buried for a long time. It show up more in the photo than it actually is.

A unusual Chinese Song Dynasty bronze mirror with three mythical animals. Could be Lions or rats. The lion represents the "Guardian" and the rat represents "Prosperity". Size: Diameter 10.4cm. Condition: No repairs.

A nice rare scalloped Liao plate, boldly incised with blossoms and leaves, under a cream and bright leaf green and amber glaze. Comes with a certificate from the Chinese Government Auction House. Size: Diameter. 13.5cm. Condition: A broken piece at the rim that was glued back on probably at the site. It is almost invisible on the front of the plate. See photos.

Rare Complete set of a Chinese Tang Sancai plate with seven matching cups. It is very rare to find a complete matching set like this. Size:Diameter: 25 cm. or 9.84 inches. Condition: Very good. Minor professional repair on the rim. Hard to locate it.

A very large jade disc carved with a hole in the center. Both sides of this central hole are lipped which is very rare in "bi's." Compared with flat bi's, lipped bi's require a lot more carving and are much more difficult to make. The bi is beautiful with its complex colors and patterns. The colors range from cream to greys, ochres, greens and blues.Period: Neolithic ( 3rd millennium B.C.)

A rare Chinese large jar.These jars were originally used for storage of food for trading ships. They were eventually traded to the natives in Southeast Asia, mainly Borneo, and were highly prized. The center of the vase has a relief of two dragon with white claws. Size: H. 70 cm. W.46 cm. Condition: Very good with no repairs.

An extremely rare matching set of a drum table and five matching stools made of Jichi wood or "Chicken Wing Wood" with a very large one piece burl wood top on the table and stools with a bamboo design. Bamboo carved furniture from very expensive wood is very rare as bamboo is a very inexpensive wood and to carve that bamboo design in the expensive wood is a sign of reverse snobbery reserved for the very rich at that time...

A very large authentic Tang tomb guardian wearing a typical warrior's uniform standing on an evil earth creature with remains of the original pigments. The guardian was there to protect the tomb from these evil creatures. The item was found with its parts separated.Large statues like this were made in several parts. See last photo. A rare authentic detailed Han granary with three bear like legs in a rich deep green glaze. Size: H. 30 cm. Roof diameter 23 cm. Condition: No repairs. Some small kiln chips.

This is the most desirable of all the Han dogs. Not only has it been beautiful executed but has one of the nicest faces I have ever seen on a Han dog,it looks great from every angle. Size: H.26.5cm. W. 23.3cm. Condition: Tip of left ear has been professionally repaired. Some minor chips around the base. Overall in very good condition.

A very large and rare unique lacquer panel screen with a variety of stone carvings of Quanyin and Her Disciples. The carved gold leaf panels most likely depict the life of the owner. The back of the panel has a beautiful painting of bamboo and birds. See Last photo. The panel is made into six parts that are interlocked together. Age. Mid. 19th Century. Size: 310 cm. X 215 cm.(10 Ft.X 7 Ft.) Condition: Very good for it's age.

A Rare Green glazed pair of Foo Lions joss stick holders from the Ming Dynasty. Joss sticks are incense on sticks and burned in religious ceremonies usually placed along side of Buddha. Size: H. 13.2cm. Condition: No repairs. Some minor small chips due to age.

A Han bird of an attractive translucent green jade with dark green 'peppery' streaked inclusions. Its squarish stylized shape is both simple and pleasing to the eye. It has an hole for stringing as a pendant..

Condition: Very good. There's a little roughness at the edge of one wing from age but it is not a break.

A rare pair of authentic Ming glazed sansai pottery figures of an attendants on a hexagonal pedestals.Their long-sleeved robes are colored in finely crackled green and ochre glazes. Their life-like expressive faces are molded with exquisite detail. Usually attendant figures are based on actual attendants so attention was placed on capturing the person's real face and personality...

A very rare and unusual large Chinese scroll painting done in the Japanese style of a bird in a cage with a bamboo tree and netting. Some gold leaf work on the leaves. A nice lacquer screen mirror used by Scholars in their work tables. The mirror is surrounded by the usual key fret design while the base is carved with the auspicious melon, peony and peach, representing longevity and prosperity. The mirror looks like it is the original mirror. Size: H. 62.5cm. W. at the base, 41.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Normal wear and some age cracks.

Unusual and rare pottery figure from the Han Dynasty of a soldier in uniform sitting on a stool with one leg folded under him. There are still some remains of a white slip. Size: H.9.5cm. Condition. No repairs.

A natural amber pendant with two bats, one on each side. The bats represent longevity and happiness. The bat and happiness sound is in the Chinese language is similar - both pronounced Fu. Size: L. 3cm. W. 2cm. Condition: No repairs, cracks or chips.

A very rare bronze seal from the First Emperor period with the "ying-yang" impression. Yin is often symbolized by water or earth, while yang is symbolized by fire or wind. Age: 221 -206 BC. Size:L. 1.9cm W. 1cm. H. 1.2cm. Condition: No repairs. Incrustation from long burial. Can be cleaned.

A long-necked original bronze vase with a rounded body. The top of the slender neck has a ring midway and swells out at the mouth in the shape of a garlic bulb, giving the vase its special name. It has a nice aging patina. It can be cleaned but I wouldn't recommend it.

An authentic large Tang tomb Attendant wearing a typical attendant's outfit with remains of the original pigments. A very rare extremely large storage jar from the Chinese Song period, 960 -1126 AD.These jars were used for storage for Chinese trading vessels. They were then traded off to Chieftains in Southeast Asia and were considered sacred items. Most jars were from the Ming to the middle Qing Dynasties. This one is very rare as it dates back to the Song Dynasty. This vase was found in Borneo, Malaysia. It is unusual to find this size jar intact from that period. Size: H. 76 cm. W. 57 cm...

A very rare portrait of the highest ranking official in the Emperor's court. This is based on the rank badge of the crane and the red hat. The painting is very intricate with a lot of gold work. The sleeves are painted with the heads of the Imperial Dragon and in the center there is a painting of the elusive flying pearl. The tips of the armrests and carved with the Linzhi mushroom...

A nicely carved jade cicada of the Hongshan Culture.The cicada has a bulky square body with stylized wings a ridged forehead and large well rounded eyes. Size: L.4.8cm, W. 2.0cm

A very rare figure of a Tang lady seated on a barrel stool in a long robe and large hairdo gently holding a dog. Original Tang figures look beautiful at all angles. Made of a fine red colored clay, it was originally painted but the slip and color have worn away revealing only the clay underneath.

Condition: The original head had broken off when found but has been re-attached.

A beautiful large matching pair of Ming attendants. It is unusual and rare to find a matching pair of a male and female attendants with a beautiful matching three color glaze. The expressions are very real and natural. Both original heads are removable.The heads are removable from the bodies because they are molded to look like the actual attendants that took care of the deceased. Size: Male H.46cm. Female H. 44cm. A very rare necklace of 78 glass beads (green, blue-green, opaque white & translucent). Five (5) of the largest beads have a dark caramel colored glass streaked/looped design. Period: Han Dynasty Size: Length = 20 inches (51 cm.) Condition: The glass beads have iridescence (seen under magnification) and some calcification due to long period of burial. Can be cleaned.

A beautiful replica of the famous Bronze Running Horse or the Galloping Horse. The original horse was made durning the Han Dynasty. A nicely shaped plate with floral design with bat and peach motif painted on the underside for good luck. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nyonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: 19.5 x 13.5cm. Condition: No repairs. Normal wear.

A rare miniature figure of Avalokitesvara (Buddha) (God of Compassion) on a plinth. The head is surrounded by a halo. The figure was originally gilded and traces of the gold still remain. The features have been worn from age. Has a nice patina. Period: Han. 206BC - 220AD Size: Height = 7.5 cm

Tang authentic pottery plate with a sancai-glazed inner and outer rim. The alternating and flowing green and ochre/brown glazes give beauty to the simple form of the plate. Under magnification, the glaze shows very fine crackle and the edge of the glaze is iridescent.
