An ornate silver betel box with open-work patterns of curling tendrils. The body and lid each have five panels with high relief work depicting 10 different scenes of ancient Burma. (see photos) The top of the domed lid has a lotus blossom. The bottom is hammered with the date and occasion for the piece.

A rare slope-shouldered bronze bell with stand from the Dong Son culture in Vietnam. At the shoulders and at the base are large curl designs with a bull's head in the center and animals around the bell.

Period: Dong Son Culture - 300-200 BC.

Size: Height = 13 cm (5-1/8 inches)

Condition: The clanger is missing. It has an attractive mottled patina. The stand comes with the bell.

A fairly large gold repousse Buddha wearing a cape and standing on lotus pedestal. Repousse is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Size: H 11cm. W. 6cm.
