A bamboo brush pot carved in relief of a sage in contemplation wearing a flowing robe surrounded by nature - the hills are carved in relief while trees, grasses and flowers are etched around him. To his right side is a feather fan. There is a signed poem about his feather fan inscribed to the left of the carvings. It is a serene, well proportioned, beautifully carved piece. Period: Late 19th Century Size: Height = 15.7 cm (6-1/8 inches), Diameter = 11.25 cm (4-3/8 inches)

A very rare crystal tiger from Burma/Thailand. Crystal was thought to have magical powers and the tiger represents strength. It is unknown how they drilled the holes to make it wearable.As you can see they were drilled at both ends, probably before the crystal was carved. Age: over two thousand years old. Size: L. 3cm. A jade of a chimera (mythical animal. The light grey-green nephrite jade has areas and spots of beige and dark brown natural that are to the stone. A round-bodied tripod bronze censor decorated with protruding lion heads at opposite sides (the rings in the mouth are no longer present). The censer is heavy, well made and has the Ming imperial seal (Xuande) on the underside and is probably not of the period.

Period:19th century

Size: Height = 8 cm (3-1/8"), Diameter = 11 cm (4-5/16")

Condition: Very good. No dents. Natural age patination.

A small Burmese Buddha made of silver. Its form is simple, unadorned and its hand is in the earth-touching gesture. The face has a wide nose with connected eyebrows and has a quiet presence.

Period: Burmese, 16th Century

A stunning necklace of rare and unusual carnelian beads. They include a very long 16-striped etched carnelian, an oval carnelian etched with a stag and a carnelian tiger tooth bead with a zig-zag pattern. These beads are flanked with smaller etched carnelians, etched agates and gold spacers (also of the period).

Period: 1st - 5th Century, Burma/India

Size: Length of cylinder carnelian = 8.2 cm (3-3/16 inches). Diameter of stag carnelian = 2.5 cm (1 inch)...
