A mini Shan red lacquerware covered receptacle. Unusual to find these types in this size. It still has some dried flowers that came with the item. Age: Early 20th century. Size: H. 19.5cm. W. 8cm. Condition: No repairs. Some minor chips around the rims.

A rare and unusual bronze seal written in the ancient Tibetan language. Size: 2.9 x 2.6cm Condition: Nice patina. The finial has a piece missing.

Four gilded wooden statues comprising of two Buddhas,a Disciple and a Monk. Sizes: Length, 9.4 to 7.6 cm. Condition: Perfect.

A very rare and beautifully carved blackwood table. The carvings represent good luck symbols with key fret designs,lingzhi fungus, floral, tendril, and coins. The front and the back are a mirror images of each other, and the two sides also have mirror image carvings on both ends. The legs are straight and not curved as seen in the wide angle photo. Size: L.116 cm W.40 cm H.84 cm. Condition: Small age crack. See photo.

Large Tibetan wooden prayer beads from Lhasa with nine glass bead spacers and two leather counters with ten silver rings each ending with silver inlaid coral and turquoise, the wooden ones are made from the wood of the Bodhi tree where Buddha received his enlightenment. Total length 66cm. Condition: No repairs all original.

Two Tibetan bone carvings of dancing Dakinis from a ceremonial bone apron. One Dakini carries a chopper, kapala (skull cup) and a skull scepter; the other holds a kapala in her left hand. Both have large scrolling swirls carved above and below them. The backs have numerous holes for stringing. The bone is probably from a Yak. Period: 18th/19th Century. Size: 16cm & 17cm. W. Both 4cm. Condition: No repairs. cracks or chips.

A full necklace of a mixture of cylinder, annular, tubular and truncated ellipsoid carnelian beads. There are also two "bullet" beads. This is a complete necklace - not random pieces put together. Naturally, it has been restrung. Age: 500 AD Size: Length - 62cm. Period: Pre-Columbian - Tairona Culture

Rare dagger from Tibet. The bronze phurbu features a crowned Buddha. The blade part features a the head of a makara (marine monster). Period: 12th century to 15th century.Size: 13cm. Condition: very good. Check "Arts of Asia" May-June 1989 issue.

An Old group of Bodhi wooden prayer beds made from the wood of the Bodhi tree where Buddha received his enlightenment. These beads were purchased in Lhasa many years ago. Condition: No repairs. Size: 42 cm.

A nicely carved brown jade fish in the Eastern Zhou style. The fish is symbolically employed as the emblem of wealth or abundance on account of the similarity in the pronunciation of the words "yu", fish, and "yu", superfluity. I date this piece to be early Han. Size: L.5.5cm. W.2cm. Condition: No repairs ,chips or cracks.

A beautifully carved jade using the natural colors of the piece to represent Han style dragons. Size: W. 7.5 x 5.5cm. H. 2cm. Condition: Perfect except for a minor chip on the tail of one of the dragons that can easily be filed off. See last photo.

Liao Flask shaped like a leather prototype with a vertical spout and a loop handle on the other side, both rising from a tall ovoid body covered in a rich glossy amber glaze, stopping above the foot to reveal the buff stoneware. Size: 31.5 cm.high. Condition. No repairs. Normal kiln marks. Age: 10th Century

A 17th century dorje (thunderbolt of enlightenment) Buddhist ritual object of a dark color with some green encrustation. Some dorjes at that time were made from meteorites found in the Himalayas. This particular dorje is quite heavy and there is a possibility that it may be made from a meteorite but we have not had it tested...

A very rare and beautiful Pyu agate carved bird. A hole is drilled from the top of the head to the bottom of the bird so it can be worn as a pendant. The bird is still the symbol for Burma. Size: L. 3cm. Condition: Perfect. No repairs.
