A beautiful quadratic prism shaped Song Dynasty translucent brown jade with two ring carved on each end. The jade is strung with three old Chinese beads. Age: 1127 - 1279Ad. Size: 3.4 x 2.1cm. Condition: Smooth wear. No chips.

An unusual jade archer,s ring, which to me is the actual archers ring used with the bow and arrow rather then the better know thumb ring which is more a piece of jewelry. It was used on the thumb, that's where the "thumb ring" comes from and more than likely on a gloved hand due to the size. Again this is hard to date but I feel that it is quite old. Size: H:5.5cm, W. 4cm

A jade carving of a bird's head with a tapered body. The black coloring is probably the result of a long burial period. Under certain lighting conditions the jade has a translucent appearance. I tried to capture some of it in the photos. Provenance: From Beijing many years ago from an old Chinese collector. Size: L. 6.4cm. W. 4cm. Condition: No cracks or repairs. See photos.

A creamy-beige colored crouching chimera. Open-mouthed and with head tilted upward, the details are nicely carved. There are some rusty-brown colored inclusions that are natural to the stone. Period: Song (960-1279D) Size: H = 1-1/2", Length = 2-1/2" Condition: Very good

A carved jade of an old man with a beard. Half of the jade on top is translucent and the bottom bottom half opaque. Size: H. 3.8cm. W. 1.3cm. Condition. See last photo.

Chinese nephrite jade mythical animal of a light celadon green with inclusions natural to the stone. The form is plump from its body to its limbs. The view from the bottom shows rounded legs with three nicely carved claws on each paw. Period: Late Ming (17th Century) Size: H = 1", Length = 2-1/8"

A nicely carved jade cicada in the Hongshan style. The cicada has a bulky square body with stylized wings a ridged forehead and large well rounded eyes. It is difficult to age this piece. Size: L.4.8cm, W. 2.0cm

A nice Han bangle with two carved stylized dragons typical of the Han dragons. Some discoloration from age. Size: Radius. 9cm. Condition: No repairs. Hairline crack on inside. See photo.

A very large disc carved with a hole in the center. Both sides of this central hole are lipped which is very rare in "bi's." Compared with flat bi's, lipped bi's require a lot more carving and are much more difficult to make. The bi is beautiful with its complex colors and patterns. The colors range from cream to greys, ochres, greens and blues.

Period: Neolithic (4th - 3rd millennium B.C.)

Jade black disc with an early representation of a dragon in the typical Han style. Age: I feel that it is an original Han piece. Size: Diameter 6.5cm. Condition: Some degradation. No brakes or repairs.

A nice white jade figure of a man or woman. There are four holes drilled in the jade, two in the back and two on the sides probably for attaching to some sort of fabric. Age: Late Qing. Size: L. 2.62cm. W. 1.5cm. Condition: No repairs.
