Rare pair of Blackwood side chairs. These were usually reserved for the men. This is classical Northern Chinese design. Very simple but elegant. My favorite type of Chinese furniture. Size: H.104cm W.52cm. Age: Early 19th century Condition: Old repair on one leg. See last photo.

An alloy metal Buddha sitting under a bodhi tree.This is where Buddha gained his great Enlightenment by sitting in concentrated meditation beneath the bodhi tree at Bodh Gaya in Bihar,India. Can be made into an amulet. Size: H. 6.3cm. W. 3.3cm. Condition: No repairs.

A translucent nephrite jade "bi" of a very light cream color (off-white). Both the front and reverse are beautifully carved with the same design of a variety of "curl" designs. Period: (17th- 18th Century) Size: Outer Diameter = 2-1/4" Condition: Perfect. Color in photo has a blue tone but it is actually white.

A complete old Tibetan ladies purse made of Yak leather and inlaid with silver and gilt carvings with a center piece of Turquoise. The front has carvings of two fish (representing the beginning of life)and flower design. The back has a center tree design. There is a silver woven chain attached to the top for carrying. A nice black glazed Song wine jar with two handles and a spout for pouring. These containers were used for offering a sweet rice wine to the deceased. You will sometimes find remnants of the wine in the bottom of the jar that has solidified. Size: H: 27.3cm. Condition: No repairs. In it's original condition.

A relief-moulded lacquer receptacle from Mandalay with a finial insert of a Brahmani duck,lavishly gilded and glass inlaid. Size: H. 51cm. W. 20cm. Condition: No repairs. An age crack on the base. See last photo.

A pair of miniature bronze bell with clappers. A simple decoration in raised lines. Age: Eastern Zhou 770 - 221 BC. Size.H. 4.5cm. W.6.6cm. Condition: No repairs. Nice patina

A pottery plate with a sansai-glazed inner and outer rim. The alternating and flowing green and ochre/brown glazes give beauty to the simple form of the plate. Under magnification, the glaze shows very fine crackle and the edge of the glaze is iridescent.

Period: Tang Dynasty(618 - 907 AD)

Size: Diameter = 23.2 cm (9-1/8 inches)

Condition: Good. No cracks or breaks. Has stacking spur marks from when it was fired. Has a small chip on the rim. (see photo).

A votive portable prayer altar with a bronze botisattva on the front, in relief, sitting on a lotus pedestal. it is surrounded by incised leaf and flower patterns. Inside is a statue of Buddha and there are two prayer sheets (one hand printed and one block printed).

A nice and rare statue of a Song guard with remnants of heavy gilding. He is probably part of a large configuration. Size: H. 11.5cm. W. 4cm. Condition: No repairs. Needs a stand to stay upright.

A nice Nonya bowl with butterflies and floral design. Nonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nonyas, hence the term Nonya ware. Nonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: W.13cm. H. 5cm. Condition: No repairs. Some wear and ageing.
