A very large Imari charger with a painted dragon in the center chasing the elusive flaming pearl. The panels have various paintings of dancers and country scenes. It is unusual to see dragons in Japanese Imari plates. The back has been wired for hanging. Size: Diameter. 45.3cm. Condition: Perfect.

A rare carved calcedony tiger with its 4 paws, upper back, and tail in carnelian red (presence of iron oxides in the stone). The body of the tiger is elongated with a curled up tail. Tigers of this type and age are difficult to find, especially ones that are intact...

A very rare and characteristically glazed foo lion with her left paw on the head of her baby. These usually come in pairs. One with the baby foo lion under the paw and one with a ball under the paw. This one has a lot of feeling with the baby foo lion looking annoyed with the paw pushing down on its head. There is always some humor with some of these tiles. Size: H. 40cm. W. 35cm. A large rare Ming jar with the glaze of the popular Vietnamese design of that time. The brown glaze is decorated with strings of dots going down the sides. Size: H. 58cm. W. 42cm. Condition: No repairs ,cracks or broken parts.

A beautiful etched paitong basin depicting court ladies playing chess in the center. Around the inside of the basin there are scenes of scholars, artists, falconer etc. Around the inside edge is etched the "shou" characters representing good luck and fortune. Size: Diameter: 42.5cm.
