A detailed Tang Horse Groom of a foreigner.There is still a lot of pigment still remaining on the surface and a very detail casting of the face of the groom. Size: H.49cm. W. 15cm. Condition: No repairs.

A pottery plate with a sansai-glazed inner and outer rim. The alternating and flowing green and ochre/brown glazes give beauty to the simple form of the plate. Under magnification, the glaze shows very fine crackle and the edge of the glaze is iridescent.

Period: Tang Dynasty(618 - 907 AD)

Size: Diameter = 23.2 cm (9-1/8 inches)

Condition: Good. No cracks or breaks. Has stacking spur marks from when it was fired. Has a small chip on the rim. (see photo).

A pottery whistle in the form of an unusual face with its lips puckered as if whistling. The top of the whistle has green and brown glazes (sansai glaze) - the bottom is unglazed. The glaze has a very fine crackle. Under magnification, tiny pits can be seen on the fine crackle, which is consistent with the appearance of glazes for pieces of this period.

An unusual sansai-glazed miniature pottery figure of a dancing young man with a pointed black cap.

Condition: It has an old break in the right arm which has been reattached (the original arm).

A very rare and characteristically glazed foo lion with her left paw on the head of her baby. These usually come in pairs. One with the baby foo lion under the paw and one with a ball under the paw. This one has a lot of feeling with the baby foo lion looking annoyed with the paw pushing down on its head. There is always some humor with some of these tiles. Size: H. 40cm. W. 35cm. Condition: Some pieces missing from age and weather.

An unusual and rare three legged mythical beast. This is probably the prelude to the three legged frog that lives on the moon. Age: Han Dynasty 206 BC to 220 AD. Size: L. 15.5cm. W. 10.5cm Condition: Some chips on the glaze fulled in and a small tip of the crown broken. See last two photos.

A beautiful large Han court lady with original pigment, standing and dressed in full robe with long swaggered sleeves and wide train. The head and hands have slots for inserting ornaments. Size H. 66cm. W. 25cm. Condition: No repairs. Some chips at the base.

A beautiful large matching pair of Ming attendants. It is unusual and rare to find a matching pair of a male and female attendants. The expressions are very real and natural. Both original heads are removable. Size: Male H.46cm. Female H. 44cm. Condition: No repairs.

A miniature neolithic pottery jar with fishnet pattern and outlined in black separated by fields of X patterns. Attached to the rim are two lug handles. Age:Hongshan Culture, 2nd half to 3rd millennium BC. Size: H. 9cm. Rim Radius 9cm. Condition: No repairs. Few chips on the rim and some touch-up on the painting.

A pair of nicely formed hollow glazed pottery birds. Both have round plump figures and lots of character. The darker bird has two glazes - a brown splash of glaze that runs over a straw glaze. The lighter bird has a celadon colored glaze. The glaze on both birds have a very fine crackle.

Period: Tang (7th-10th Century)

Size: Both birds approximately 4.7 cm high.

Condition: Good. normal wear from age...

An unusual Tang pottery of a standing dwarf wearing a robe and hat painted in original orange pigments. He has a stocky figure and a sweet countenance on his downward tilt head. He is full of character. Figures such as these are considered a symbol of good luck and are not easy to find.

A rare Mother and child Han Oil Lamp.The Mother is sitting and holding the hand of the child. The head piece was used for the oil holding the oil. Size: H. 26.8cm. W. 11cm. Condition: Most of the green glaze is gone and there is an old repair break around the head. See photos.
