A pottery plate with a sansai-glazed inner and outer rim. The alternating and flowing green and ochre/brown glazes give beauty to the simple form of the plate. Under magnification, the glaze shows very fine crackle and the edge of the glaze is iridescent.

Period: Tang Dynasty(618 - 907 AD)

Size: Diameter = 23.2 cm (9-1/8 inches)

Condition: Good. No cracks or breaks. Has stacking spur marks from when it was fired. Has a small chip on the rim. (see photo).

A pair of nicely formed hollow glazed pottery birds. Both have round plump figures and lots of character. The darker bird has two glazes - a brown splash of glaze that runs over a straw glaze. The lighter bird has a celadon colored glaze. The glaze on both birds have a very fine crackle.

Period: Tang (7th-10th Century)

Size: Both birds approximately 4.7 cm high.

Condition: Good. normal wear from age...

A Han tomb pillar with stamped designs on three side. Front panel is stamped with four alternating designs of three trees with cloud formations and four girls carrying something over their heads. A very rare Jin Dynasty Greenware jar with three lugs typical of that era. The green glaze going two thirds of the way down the vase. The inside is glazed also. Comes with a certificate from the Chinese Government Auction House. Size H. 47 cm. Condition: Very nice glaze. No repairs. A fine kiln crack around the bottom unglazed area that does not go through the inside. The inside is also glazed.

A small, very rare nicely moulded vase with a long ribbed neck that flares to a hexafoil rim. The hexagonal body is moulded with bands of flowers. The lower band has alternating patterns of lotus flowers and lotus leaves. There are two lion masks at opposite sides at the shoulder. The vase is covered in a light olive-grey glaze. Period: Yuan - 13th/14th Century Size: Height = 14.4 cm (5-11/16 inches) Condition: Tiny barely noticeable chip at the rim of the mouth.

A pottery whistle in the form of an unusual face with its lips puckered as if whistling. The top of the whistle has green and brown glazes (sansai glaze) - the bottom is unglazed. The glaze has a very fine crackle. Under magnification, tiny pits can be seen on the fine crackle, which is consistent with the appearance of glazes for pieces of this period.

Period: Tang (618 - 907 AD)

Size: Height = 3.9 cm

A miniature form of a figure riding on a horse. The upper half is glazed in a dark chocolate brown glaze.

Period: Song (10th thru 13th Century) Size: 5.5 cm high

Condition: The left ear on the horse was broken and original ear reattached. (see photos) A small chip on the figure's face. Glaze in good condition and with normal aging.

A nice green glazed Han dog in a guarding pose bearing his teeth with a collar around his neck and body. Size: H. 19.5cm. L. 25.5cm. Condition: Some loss of the green glazing. Two legs have been repaired with it's original parts and tips of his ears have been repaired all professionally done.
