A very rare Ming hair ornament made of four jade goldfish and a cicada held together by gold wiring made up of a butterfly and floral design. It originally had turquoise colored king fish feathers inlaid in the design.It also has the original metal wiring holding it together. Size: H. 5.5cm. W. 5cm. Jades average 2 cm. Condition: Normal ageing on the metal parts.

A small, well-formed bronze figure of Avalokitesvara - the Bodhisattva of Compassion - in tribhanga stance holding a flask in the left hand. The head is encircled with a coppery gold halo with a representation of Buddha at the top. The two front legs of the four-legged pedestal base are joined in formation of a stylized lotus petal. An attractive white brass water pipe complete with all its parts (cleaning tools and original chain). Two surfaces of the square-shaped body have etched artwork of women reading in a garden surrounded by foliage. The remaining 2 surfaces have an etched poem about the scene. The calligraphy is particularly beautiful.

Period: 19th Century

Size: Height: = 29.5 cm, Width of pipe base = 8 cm

Condition: Very good. A complete set with all its original parts.

An eye-catching strand of 49 etched round bead necklace with cream to beige colored striping. The beads are graduated in size and each one has its own individual character and color variation. The beads have an excellent patina from years of age.

Period: Pyu Period (100 - 500 AD)

Size: Length = 68.5 cm (27 inches) Largest bead diameter = 17mm, Smallest bead diameter = 12 mm

Good condition with no broken beads and very nice patina.

Very rare wine vessel in the Meiping shape used by the boarded patrol. The inscription reads a kind of alcoholic beverage, most likely rice wine. The bottom has the inscription of the maker. Found in north western China. Size: 31.5cm. high. Age: Yuan - 1279-1368 AD. Condition: No repairs, two small chips around the spout and a small chip in the back. See photo 11. Looks worse on the photo then the actual chip.
