A rimmed huanghuali brushpot with two rims, at the top and bottom of the pot. Age: 17th century. Size: H. 15.5cm. Diameter: 16.2cm. Condition: No repairs. Few dent on the the top rim. In it's original condition. It still has remnants of the original wax finish.

A very unusual huanghuali brush pot with a natural grain design of a human figure. To me, it amazingly resembles the painting technique of the famous Norwegian artist "Edvard Munch" noted for his painting of the "Scream". Age: 18th Century. Size: H. 15.1cm. Diameter. 13.5cm. A huanghuali wood brush pot with nice grain. The bands at the top and bottom are in relief (the body being smoothly carved down to create the relief).

Period: 18th Century

An unusual stone weight with a young boy riding a foo dog. The corners each have little foo dogs playing with their ball. The base has a key fret design. This is a very special weight and unique in it's design. It is my understanding that these weights were used in making paper. Size: W. 31.5 x 23cm. H. 19cm. Condition: No repairs or chips.

A charming brushpot inlaid with mother-of-pearl, ivory and hardstones. The inlay work is of branch with flowering plum blossoms. The back has a poem of archaic Chinese characters inlaid in silver. The wood is a dark hardwood (unidentified) of a slightly reddish tint.

Period: 18th Century

Size: Height = 12.5 cm (4-7/8 inches, Width = 9 cm.(3-1/2 inches)

Condition: Good condition. Slight age crack-which is part of the beauty-at the bottom part (under the plum blossoms)...
