A very large and rare unique lacquer panel screen with a variety of stone carvings of Quanyin and Her Disciples. The carved gold leaf panels most likely depict the life of the owner. The back of the panel has a beautiful painting of bamboo and birds. See Last photo. The panel is made into six parts that are interlocked together. Age. Mid. 19th Century. Size: 310 cm. X 215 cm.(10 Ft.X 7 Ft.) Condition: Very good for it's age.

A rare Pyu carved calcedony tiger with its 4 paws, upper back, and tail in carnelian red (presence of iron oxides in the stone). The body of the tiger is elongated with a curled up tail. Tigers of this type and age are difficult to find, especially ones that are intact. The 24 karat heavy gold woven chain and gold bar (through the tiger) were recently added, making it wearable as a choker necklace..

A Kushan gold necklace delicately strung with very small ancient lapis lazuli beads (approximately 24 beads to an inch). There are 12 gold coins with images of 6 ancient kings - six on each side. There are 2 kings that we recognize - one is Vasudeva I, the other is "Ohsho" holding an elephant goad, thunderbolts, a trident and a goat. The center bead is a oblong fluted gold bead. There are also two blue glass beads flanking the central gold bead. Wearable.

A rare Pyu carved green glass pendant with a figure of a man on the front and some writing on the back. Next to the glass pendant there are two small stone carved elephants. The rest of the necklace is made up of ancient gold and an assortment of gold and agate beads of the same period. Age: 100 - 500 AD. Size: 44cm end to end. Glass bead: H; 4.5cm W: 2cm.

A very rare and important teak Temple chest with beautiful gold leaf relief design of Buddha with his adoring subjects. Age: 18th century. Size: L. 77cm. W. 40cm. H. 46.2cm. Condition: No repairs. Some small loss of the gold leaf which is common for the age.

A very unique and rare red agate oval Pyu seal. The white band on the surface of the stone has been skillfully carved down to the next red layer with a sacred bull. The red in the stone is more of a ruby red than an orangery red. When looking sideways at the stone at a certain angle, you can see the crystal clear band sandwiched in between two red bands which is natural to the stone. A fairly large gold repousse Buddha wearing a cape and standing on lotus pedestal. Repousse is a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Size: H 11cm. W. 6cm. Condition: No repairs. Some openings which are natural for old repousse items. Nice patina.

A very rare necklace of 78 glass beads (green, blue-green, opaque white & translucent). Five (5) of the largest beads have a dark caramel colored glass streaked/looped design. Period: Han Dynasty Size: Length = 20 inches (51 cm.) Condition: The glass beads have iridescence (seen under magnification) and some calcification due to long period of burial. Can be cleaned.

A very rare large gilded Royal Thayo receptacle created in Mandalay for Buddhist votive use. Thayo is made by mixing lacquer with sifted paddy husks to which pulverized bone is added for strength, resulting in a sort of plastic like material easily molded or stamped in a relief design.
