This is a Chinese Yuan Dynasty figure of a Zodiac Boar/Pig. The Pig is known for its sincerity, purity, tolerance and honor. The Pig wants to do everything right. The Pottery figure is in excellent condition. The Boar/Pig measures 5 3/4 inches in length, 3 inches in height and 3 1/4 inches in height. This is a Pottery figure of a Chinese Ming Dynasty Court Lady. The Figure is in excellent condition with only small nicks and "flea bites associated with a piece of this age. Most of the white wash and some of the color pigment also remain. The head is removable as was the custom for some funerary pieces during this period. This is a finely detailed carved Okimono of an Elephant. From the lifelike skin to the curved trunk and flared ears, this is an exceptionally fine piece. This is one of my finer Japanese Ivory Okimono carvings. The detail carries down to the carved teeth and tongue. The expression on his face shows his elation at having finally caught his fish. This is a Chinese hand carved Celadon Jade dragons belt hook. Finely relief carved throughout depicting a pi xiu beast dragon body and horned dragon head as hook, 18th-19th century. I purchased this fine piece from a prominent East Coast Auction house a few years back.The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or breaks. This is an expertly carved and detailed Ivory figure of a Chinese Empress. With the exception of the face almost every square mm is carved in almost unbelievable detail. In over 25 years of collecting, I have not seen another example of this caliber of carving. The Figure is 3.50 inches in height, 1.75 inches in depth and 2.1 inches wide. This is a Han Dynasty Tomb Tile depicting a musician playing a flute. The depiction is in the form of a Bas relief. The Tile is in excellent condition considering the 2000 +/- years of burial. There are a few normal chips but nothing that detracts from the overall impact of this piece. The Tile measures 10.25 inches wide, 12.25 inches in height and 2.5 inches at its thickest point. This is a finely carved and polished Chinese Jade Seal. The Seal is 19th century or earlier. Four characters are carved into one side of the seal (not translated) The piece is expertly carved and polished. It measures 2.5 inches in height; 1.88 inches wide and .5 inches thick.
This is a very early 18th century Jadeite Jade Chinese Double seal expertly carved and polished from celadon and black Jadeite Jade.The finely detailed Foo Dog sits atop a double column of jade. The Seal measures 2.5 inches in height, 2.38 inches in width and .65 inches deep. The workmanship is excellent.
