Fantastic pate-de-verre (cast glass) plaque, unsigned but probably by Jean Cros (son of Henri), c1920. The shape of this large piece leads me to believe it was originally mounted in a lighting fixture, probably a sconce.
The plaque measures approx. 10" long and 5" high. Condition is good with some surface cracking from manufacture and a small chip to the lower-right side that does not intrude to the front of the plaque. |
