Beautifully made and very unusual vase attributed to Ernest Baptiste Leveille; French, c1900. The exterior is enameled in gold with a floral pattern and the vase is internally decorated with oxblood-colored glass. Typical Leveille colors and decoration but this vase has 6 holes around the neck of the vase - something I have never seen before. The holes were made when the vase was blown, they were not added later and are not drilled.
Measures approx. 10" high and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Unsigned. |
