Very cool early glass vase by Emile Galle for Baccarat; French, c1880. Ref: Le Genie Verrier by Cappa p.437 for identical design in green glass & Sothebys Sale #7007 (11/97) for identical vase est. $4000-$6000. Vase is mold-blown of clear crystal as a pair of intertwining carp with adjoining mouths.
Measures approx. 10" high and is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Signed to underside with engraved 'E Galle' signature. |
