This porcelain figural group was produced in Denmark in the late 19th century. It is 8 1/2 inches high and 6 1/2 inches wide. The fine hard paste porcelain is expertly modeled with great detail. The group portrays a Colonial couple in splendid attire. At first glance, you might think you were looking at a Meissen or Nymphenburg figural group. The couple is adorned with real porcelain lace ruffles. The lady's hat has tiny ribbons protruding from it. The detail to this piece is exquisite. The hand painting of their clothing is superbly done. We have never seen a piece of Royal Copenhagen of this quality. It is a rare porcelain in excellent condition.

This ceramic vase was produced in Holland by Gouda before 1920. It is 5 3/4 inches high and 4 1/4 inches across the handles. The shape of the vase with its handles is classic. The ground color is black with a high gloss, mirror-like finish. It is decorated with colorful art nouveau style florals. The black ground gives a distinct contrast to the lovely, colorful decoration. This vase still has the original label from the factory intact. There are a lot of Gouda pieces available with matte finishes, but this vase with its high gloss glaze is unusual. It is a fine cabinet piece and in excellent condition
