This box is silver plate from the United States or possibly England of the Victorian era. The marking on this sewing box is partially obliterated, but we could make out the mark C&W on the bottom. We were unable to identify the marking. It measures 4 inches high, 3 inches deep and 1 7/8 inches wide. The box has 3 drawers. One is marked pins, one for needles and one for buttons. There is a little kitten figure on the top of the box. The silver plate is etched with a decorative pattern on top. It has little ball feet. Condition: Most of the silver is worn off. It could be re-plated if desired. Or, enjoy it just the way it is.

This set of 6 porcelain fish plates was produced in England by Bodley in the 1870s. They are signed J. Birbeck, renowned porcelain painter who worked for many English factories during the 19th and 20th centuries. They measure 9 1/4 inches in diameter. Each plate features a realistically hand painted fish that is named on the back of the plate. The colors are bright and the painting is incredibly detailed. They are wonderful for use or display. Condition: There are minor scratches in the paint from use. They are otherwise in excellent condition,

This pair of porcelain candle holders was produced in Germany by Schierholz & Son in the 1890s. They are 6 3/4 inches high. Under the candle holder and bobesch is the head and wings of a cherub in three dimensions. Their sweet little faces are beautifully modeled and hand painted. The trunks of the candle holders have bunches of tiny blue and pink flowers sprouting from them. The bottoms of the holders end in a tripod effect. Brushed gold is used to accent the candle holders in many areas. They are so delicate and delightful. Condition: There are just a few tiny sprigs of flowers missing. For such a fragile item, this is quite amazing.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby in 1884. There are date ciphers indicating this year. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/8 inches high. The set is made of fine bone china. It has an intricate decoration in Persian style. The ground color is yellow and there are cobalt blue bands at the rims. Little windows, with birds in them are on both the cup and saucer. The design covers the surface with brightly colored flowers and ornate gilding. The colors and patterns are exciting to look at. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal crown Derby in 1898. It has date ciphers that indicate this year. The saucer is 4 1/4 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of delicate, translucent bone china. The decoration is extremely fine. There is intricate hand gilding with tiny raised gold dots. Garlands of brightly colored flowers are draped inside the cup, outside, and around the saucer. There is gold trim on the rims and handle. This is such a charming and delightful little demitasse of exquisite design. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer, or KPM, in the late 19th century. The saucer is 5 1/4 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches deep. The cup is 2 inches high. The set has this interesting shape that was used at the Meissen factory. There is a cute handle with curlecues that is so fragile. The set is decorated with tiny flower buds in monochrome orange. There is lacy gilding on the inside rim of the cup. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. CONDITION: There is minor wear to the gold on the rims of both pieces.

This porcelain serving dish was produced in France in the late 19th century by Delinieres & Co., Limoges. The dish was sold white ware to an artist who decorated it in their studio. It has a signature on the back. There are handles molded into the porcelain in the shape of flowers. The painting of the orchid is very beautiful with foliage and ferns accompanying it. There is heavy gold trim around the rim. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain serving dish or plate was produced in Germany by Rosenthal between 1898 and 1906. It was sold white ware to a studio artist for decoration. It has a diameter of 10 1/2 inches. The rim of the dish is reticulated in art nouveau style. There are large, pastel colored roses spilling across the center of the dish. The rim is trimmed with heavy gilding. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain bowl was produced in France at a Limoges porcelain manufacturer in the late 19th century. We were unable to identify the marks. It is a factory decorated piece with both under glaze and over glaze markings. The bowl measures 10 inches in diameter and is 2 1/4 inches deep. It has a scalloped rim. There are colorful pink carnations suspended from the rim of the bowl into the center. Buds and foliage fill out the rest of the design. There are raised gold accents and a heavy gold border around the edge. The design is very similar to the art nouveau patterns used at Pickard.

This set of 12 porcelain bread and butter plates was produced in Germany by Lamm Dresden in the 1880s. Not all the plates are pictured but there are 12 in the set. The plates have a diameter of 6 1/4 inches. The rims are slightly scalloped. They are hand painted with charming sprays and garlands of flowers in a palate of blue, pink and yellow. There is delicate hand gilded trim. There is a cartouche with a gilded monogram on the rims. Originally, they would have been used for bread but they make great serving dishes for some dessert or hors devours. Condition: One plate has a rim chip (pictured) but the other 11 are in excellent condition.

This set of 12 porcelain luncheon plates was produced in England by Cauldon in the late 19th century. They were made especially for Tiffany in New York. The plates measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter and 3/4 of an inch deep. The rim of the plate is thicker and raised in order to accentuate the decoration. The Centers of the plates are slightly indented. There are cobalt blue oval indentations outlined with beaded gold alternating with tiny hand painted roses and forget-me-nots on the rims. The colors are vibrant and the painting is intricate. There is more raised gold trim on the cobalt band as well as more beaded gilding. The centers contain a medallion repeating the decorations on the rim. At first glance you don’t know if you are seeing ribbons or rainbows. Wouldn’t you know something this marvelous would have been made for Tiffany? Condition: Excellent

There is fancy gold trim and light blue panels at the bottom of the cup and in the well of the saucer. The set displays a formal elegance. Condition: There is slight crazing on the bottom of the cup. It is otherwise in excellent condition.
