These 6 porcelain plates were produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1958. The markings on the back indicate this year of manufacture. The plates have a diameter of 10 3/4 inches. They are made of fine bone china. Each plate is hand painted with a different spray of flowers and are signed by the artist Freeman. The flowers are vibrantly, and realistically rendered. The flowers account for an area of 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The rest of the plates are richly gilded with elaborate, embossed gold. They are wonderful to see and amazing to touch. This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in 1938. They measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine bone china that is ivory in color. The entire front surface of the plate is decorated. They have elaborate gold borders with cartouches containing urns. The centers are hand painted with scenes of Italian landscapes and water views. They were painted by the renowned artist, P. Curnock. He used color beautifully in the skies and mountains. His perspective shows the distance and depth of the particular area. One plate is titled “Varenna. Lago di Como” and the other is “Oria, Lago di Lugano.” They are wonderful works of art on porcelain that you would enjoy for generations. Condition: Excellent

The plates were produced especially for the retailer Ovington Brothers in New York. These plates measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter. They have a two inch crimson red border that is overlaid with elaborate raised gilding. Brilliantly colored flowers fill the centers of each plate. A cream colored border decorated with more raised gilding surrounds the floral center. The rims are trimmed with gold. No white shows on these plates. They were only meant for display. This porcelain and sterling silver demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Wedgwood in the 1920s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The well of the saucer is indented so that the cup sits in it securely and will not slide off. This is known as a “trembleuse” cup and saucer. The set is decorated with silver lines in an art deco geometric pattern. Green leaves accent the design. The cup fits into a sterling silver holder that has cut outs echoing the pattern on the porcelain. The silver is marked with English hallmarks. It has a quirky, zigzag handle that gives it pizzazz. They are made of fine bone china and have a slightly scalloped edge. The ground color is cobalt blue with a lacy fern type gilding over it. The centers of each plate have hand paint bouquets of flowers in bright colors. The plates are signed by the Worcester artist, Townsend. No two plates are exactly the same. Condition: On the back edge of one plate there is a shallow chip not seen from the front. All of the other plates are in excellent condition.

This porcelain demitasse set for 8 was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1955. The mark contains the date cipher for that year. The set consists of a demitasse pot and 8 cups and saucers. The pot is 8 3/4 inches high and 6 1/2 inches from the spout to the handle. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high and the saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The porcelain is bone china with an ivory hue. All of the pieces are fluted. The transfer decoration is taken from early 18th century designs and resembles creamwear. There is gold trim on all of the rims. This is a handsome demitasse service that would be perfect on a silver tray. Condition: Excellent. We would like to note that there is a tiny spot of roughness on the edge of one saucer due to the manufacturing process.

The set has an overlay of gilding which covers all of the white area on each piece. It is reminiscent of chintz. The pattern is raspberry vines with flowers and berries, accented with raised enamel. This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. They were made especially for the retailer Marshall Field of Chicago. All of the pieces are artist signed by renowned Worcester painters. Two of them are E. Phillips and A. Freeman. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high not counting the handles. The interiors of the cups and wells of the saucers have reserves with realistic, brightly colored flowers. The borders, which are 1 1/2 inches wide, are a deep crimson red. They are overlaid with elaborate gilding. These bouillon cups and saucers are elegant and would be wonderful for display. Condition: Excellent
