This porcelain and metal dresser box was produced in France by Tharaud Limoges before 1930. It has a double mark which signifies that the porcelain and the decoration were done in the factory. The box has a gilded metal frame and foot. We don't know what the metal is. It measures 5 1/4 inches across and 3 1/2 inches high. The decoration on the lid is bold and striking in the art deco manner. The stylized flowers and abstract lines melt and flow into each other. You can feel the enamel layers with your fingers.
