This porcelain coffee/dessert service was produced in Germany by Meissen between 1924 and 1934. It has the dot mark under glaze from the Pfeiffer period at the factory. It is a service for 6 with additional pieces. After Dinner Coffee Pot with lid - 8 ¼” high, 6” from spout to handle. Serving tray – 10 5/8” long, 8 ¾” wide and ¾” deep. Tea Caddy with lid - 4” high, 2 ¼” long, and 1 ½” wide. Sugar Bowl with lid - 3 ¼” diameter and 3 ¼” high. Cream Pitcher – 3 1/8” high and 3 ½” from handle to spout. 6 Dessert Plates - 7” diameter. 6 Saucers – 4 7/8” diameter. 6 Demitasse Cups – 2 7/8” diameter and 1 5/8” high. The set is made of the finest quality porcelain produced in the Western hemisphere. The hand painting is bright and colorful in the Japanese Kakiemon style. There are gilded accents in the decoration. Each piece has some special detail to be noted. The shape of the cups have 12 panels and a flared rim. The saucers have 12 panels to match the cups. The lids on the pot and sugar bowl have flower bud finials. The plates have a slight scallop to their borders but the pattern and gilding match perfectly. It is beautiful set for serving and display. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by the Schwarzburger Werkstatten or Schwarzburg Workshops in the 1920s. The base has the impressed initials AST which stand for the artist Albert Storch. The factory was founded by Max Aldolf Pfeiffer in 1908 and he was the director until 1913 at which time he became the artistic director at Meissen. The highest standards of artistic accomplishment is evident. The macaw is 15 1/2 inches high, 12 inches wide and 7 inches deep. The art deco modeling is unmistakable and stylish. The hand painting is vivid and exciting with excellent details. This piece may be viewed from any angle and is an outstanding decorative accent for your decor. Condition: Excellent. This ceramic wall plaque was produced in France at the Manufacture Nationale de Sevres in 1928. The artist is Adrian August Leduc. His painted signature is on the back of the plaque as well as an impressed mark. It measures 11 ¼ inches in diameter and is 1 ½ inches deep. The design is abstract and high relief. There are rows of white circles with gray accents. There is wonderful texture to the surface. You can interpret them as bubbles, cotton balls, ova, ice or whatever comes to your mind. The border has bands of charcoal gray that are intentionally crackled and mottled. The border frames the plaque with contrast and additional interest. The surface has a shiny glaze, slightly crazed, which is pleasing to the eye. It is complete with a custom made metal frame and hanger made of brass or bronze. It is well suited to hold the weight of this piece. When you concentrate on the elements of its design, it grows on you.

These 6 porcelain plates were produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1958. The markings on the back indicate this year of manufacture. The plates have a diameter of 10 3/4 inches. They are made of fine bone china. Each plate is hand painted with a different spray of flowers and are signed by the artist Freeman. The flowers are vibrantly, and realistically rendered. The flowers account for an area of 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The rest of the plates are richly gilded with elaborate, embossed gold. They are wonderful to see and amazing to touch. This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in 1938. They measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine bone china that is ivory in color. The entire front surface of the plate is decorated. They have elaborate gold borders with cartouches containing urns. The centers are hand painted with scenes of Italian landscapes and water views. They were painted by the renowned artist, P. Curnock. He used color beautifully in the skies and mountains. His perspective shows the distance and depth of the particular area. One plate is titled “Varenna. Lago di Como” and the other is “Oria, Lago di Lugano.” They are wonderful works of art on porcelain that you would enjoy for generations. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain and silver tea set was produced in Trenton New Jersey, USA, by Lenox between 1906 and 1930. Some of the pieces are marked with the older Lenox Belleek mark. The pot measures 9 inches from the spout to the handle and is 6 inches tall, including the lid. The pot includes a separate tea strainer which inter locks with the lid. The capacity is 30 ounces. The sugar bowl is 5 inches across the handles and 4 inches tall. The cream pitcher is 4 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches from the handle to the spout. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. It holds 4 ounces of tea. The biscuit tray is 8 7/8 inches in diameter. It is 1 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is creamy white with art deco style sterling silver overlay decorations. There are laurel wreathes and squared off line decorations in a clean, elegant fashion. All of the silver is intact and in excellent condition. It appears that the pot, sugar bowl and cream pitcher, biscuit tray and some of the cups and saucers were added at a later time to expand the set. CONDITION: Excellent. This is an assembled set meaning some marks are older and some later. They are all of the same pattern and style. Pd RAT Sell 1795.

This faience figural group was produced in Bologna, Italy by Aurelio Minghetti in the early 1900s. This piece was sold by the retailer “Carbone” of Boston, who handled European imports from about 1910 to 1920. It measures 16 inches high, 9 1/2 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. It is well modeled and hand painted. The garments on the Madonna have colorful detail. There is a feel of serenity and ancient Mediterranean tradition in the piece. It displays beautifully in the round. Condition: There is a chip on the side base that is barely visible and can be seen in the last photo; some insignificant abrasions, but no restorations or breaks. Note: This piece weighs 8 1/2 pounds unpacked.

It is a factory decorated set with under glaze and over glaze marks and a factory artist’s signature. The platter measures 19 inches long, 12 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. The 9 plates have a diameter of 9 1/4 inches. The rims on the plates are scalloped. The rim of the platter is molded and scalloped. Each piece is hand painted with flying game birds such as pheasants, partridges, and mallards. The rims are trimmed with gold. The set is colorful and very decorative. Condition: Excellent. There is virtually no wear or signs of use.

This porcelain vase with bronze mounts was produced in France at Sevres in 1921. It is double marked and is authentic. It has an artist’s signature, O. Mancelin. The vase is 4 1/4 inches tall. It has a diameter of 4 inches. The porcelain is fitted with bronze on the mouth and foot. It has a unique, bulbous shape, almost like a gourd. The decoration on the deep cobalt blue ground is a pattern of raised white French enamel with gilded accents. They are stylized with a flower-like form. The decoration is unencumbered but it fulfills its purpose in pleasing the eye. The artisans at Sevres dared to create pieces before their time.

The group measures 5 1/2 inches high, 7 1/2 inches long and 6 inches deep. It is a depiction of a pair of frisky Borzoi dogs. The dogs are modeled delicately, with fine detail. Their faces are beautiful. There are many slender limbs, so it must have been difficult to keep the porcelain from failing as it was being made. The dogs are hand painted realistically. This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufactory or KPM in 1925. The date letter indicates this year. The plate has a diameter of 9 ¾”. It has a finely reticulated border, all outlined with gold. The center of the plate is hand painted with a scene of the 13th century fortress at Godesberg, Germany. It is painted in monochrome shades of red rust color. There is a garland of roses encircling the border with gold leaves and stems. The border has a gray band with gold trim. The painting is highly detailed, showing the ancient ruins as they once were. This place has been restored and is an historical attraction today. Condition: Excellent

This set of 8 porcelain tea cups, saucers and dessert plates was produced in Germany at the renowned Nymphenburg factory. They are dated from 1958 through 1978. Most of the pieces have the dates on the bottom. The plates measure 7 inches in diameter, the saucers are 5 inches in diameter and the cups are 2 inches high. The rims of each piece are crimped and scalloped. All are hand painted, with no two pieces exactly the same. The monochrome floral painting of Dresden style flowers is accented with gold.
