This pair of porcelain plates was produced in England by Royal Doulton in 1938. They measure 10 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine bone china that is ivory in color. The entire front surface of the plate is decorated. They have elaborate gold borders with cartouches containing urns. The centers are hand painted with scenes of Italian landscapes and water views. They were painted by the renowned artist, P. Curnock. He used color beautifully in the skies and mountains. His perspective shows the distance and depth of the particular area. One plate is titled “Varenna. Lago di Como” and the other is “Oria, Lago di Lugano.” They are wonderful works of art on porcelain that you would enjoy for generations. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Mintons around 1950. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. It has an apple green ground. It is decorated with raised gilding in elaborate designs. There are borders of rich embossed gilding on each piece. This is a fine quality cup and saucer with classic elegance. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain and sterling silver demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Wedgwood in the 1920s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 3/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The well of the saucer is indented so that the cup sits in it securely and will not slide off. This is known as a “trembleuse” cup and saucer. The set is decorated with silver lines in an art deco geometric pattern. Green leaves accent the design. The cup fits into a sterling silver holder that has cut outs echoing the pattern on the porcelain. The silver is marked with English hallmarks. It has a quirky, zigzag handle that gives it pizzazz. This set of 10 porcelain soup cups and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1925. The date ciphers on the bottom indicate that year. They were made especially for the retailer Marshall Field of Chicago. All of the pieces are artist signed by renowned Worcester painters. Two of them are E. Phillips and A. Freeman. The saucers have a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high not counting the handles. The interiors of the cups and wells of the saucers have reserves with realistic, brightly colored flowers. The borders, which are 1 1/2 inches wide, are a deep crimson red. They are overlaid with elaborate gilding. These bouillon cups and saucers are elegant and would be wonderful for display. Condition: Excellent

These porcelain plates were produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1929. There is a date cipher which indicates this year. We have three plates pictured but you may purchase one or more of them. The plates are signed by W.H. Austin. They measure 8 inches square. They are made of the finest quality bone china. The ground color is a deep cobalt blue. The interior band on the plate is cream colored. The center is hand painted with glorious realistic flowers in bright colors. The rest of the plate is overlaid with elaborate gilding. This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1927. The marking indicates this year. The saucer has a diameter of 3 7/8 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. The ground color is bright yellow. There are white borders decorated with a factory transfer of stylized flowers and leaves. This decoration is accented with hand coloring. There is fine gold trim. The interior of the cup, well of the saucer, handle and rims of both pieces are heavily gilded. Condition: The saucer has one craze line underneath which does not go through to the other side. There are no other flaws.

The set is made of fine, white bone china. The cup has an Empire style handle that rises above the rim of the cup. The cup flares at the rim and tapers towards the middle giving it a graceful quality. The set is decorated with delicate, flowing art nouveau flowers. There are violets and leaves that encircle the cup and saucer. The flowers are hand enameled with bright turquoise. The rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Royal Doulton in the 1920s. It was produced especially for Ovingtons, a fine department store in New York. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. The ground color is “powder blue.” This is a medium blue which is speckled or mottled with a lighter shade of blue. The set is decorated with elaborate raised gold decorations. There are bands of heavy embossed gold on both pieces. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse set for 8 was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1955. The mark contains the date cipher for that year. The set consists of a demitasse pot and 8 cups and saucers. The pot is 8 3/4 inches high and 6 1/2 inches from the spout to the handle. The cup is 2 1/4 inches high and the saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The porcelain is bone china with an ivory hue. All of the pieces are fluted. The transfer decoration is taken from early 18th century designs and resembles creamwear. There is gold trim on all of the rims. This is a handsome demitasse service that would be perfect on a silver tray. Condition: Excellent. We would like to note that there is a tiny spot of roughness on the edge of one saucer due to the manufacturing process.

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Shelley before 1950. The numbers 1301/101 are on the bottom. This may be a pattern identification. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The porcelain is fine, white bone china. The cup is can shaped. The set has an overlay of gilding which covers all of the white area on each piece. It is reminiscent of chintz. The pattern is raspberry vines with flowers and berries, accented with raised enamel. There are borders of cranberry colored enamel trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1926. The diameter of the plate is 9 1/4 inches. The central fruit painting is signed William Dee. He was an artist renown for his fruit painting. The plate is made of fine bone china. The entire surface of the plate is covered with intricate gilding. The center of the plate is ivory colored and the border is apple green. The fruits in the center are realistic and quite vivid. Condition: There is one tiny scratch at the bottom of the apple in the center. There are no other defects.

This set of 6 fruit knives, stainless steel blades and porcelain handles, was produced in England by Royal Crown Derby before 1970. They are 8 1/2 inches long. They are in a silk lined fitted box. The handles are fine bone china. They are decorated with a floral transfer decoration which is painted over by hand. The stainless steel blades have a serrated edge. Condition: Excellent. They have never been used.
