This pair of glass candlesticks was produced in Europe. They are unmarked but we think that they are Bohemian, made in the 1920's. They are 8 3/4 inches high and the base has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches. The glass has a lead content and makes a ringing sound when tapped. They are hand blown and joined in four parts. They have pontils on the bottoms. The shape creates an elegant, sleek silhouette. It is sometimes difficult to know how old a piece of glass is so we take clues from the style or how much wear is on the bottom edges. There is sufficient wear to the bottoms of these candlesticks to know that they were not made in recent years. They have an art deco look. Condition: One candlestick has a popped bubble in the glass that occurred in the manufacturing process. There are no other defects. This handsome pair of candlesticks is in excellent condition.

This glass vase was produced in France in the 1920s. We attribute it to Daum Lorrain for its color and style. It is not signed. The vase is 12 3/4 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 5 3/4 inches. It is blown into a mold producing its art deco form. The base is thick and quite heavy. The vase draws gracefully upward from this point with the glass thinning significantly. The colors within the glass are iron red and mauve. They form a pattern with a marble like texture. The colors lighten into orange and peach as they flow to the top of the vase. The finish on the vase is smooth as satin. This changes to a light texture on the surface of the flared bowl. Condition: Excellent. We guarantee that this is an original, old art glass vase. To really enjoy its qualities this vase needs light coming through it.
