These 10 crystal champagne glasses were produced in Bohemia, part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the late 19th century. The specific maker is unknown. The glasses are 5 11/16 inches high and have a diameter of 3 ¾ inches. They are hand blown crystal and have hand cut stems. The stem of the glass is hollow for a reason. When champagne is poured into this type of glass the bubbles come up like a volcanic eruption. The decoration is heavily applied, hand painted enamel you can feel with your fingers. The roses are finely detailed and multi-colored. The maker thoughtfully backed the enamel painting with gold foil so that gold flowers show through to the inside of the glass. They have gilded accents and the rims are trimmed with gold. You will love the fine detail on these glasses and get an explosion of bubbles in your glass. Condition: Excellent

These 10 porcelain berry dishes or bowls were produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. There is a double mark indicating this period. The dishes are 4 5/8 inches in diameter and 1 inch deep. The set is decorated in a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored. There are delicate sprays of pastel colored flowers. These are accented by butterflies and Japanese gold and silver balls. The rims are trimmed with an apricot colored border. These would be wonderful for serving raspberries. Condition: Excellent

This set of 10 porcelain plates was produced in Germany by the Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer, or KPM, in 1905. The date marking indicates this year. The plates are 8 5/8 inches in diameter. They have scalloped rims and finely reticulate borders. The centers are expertly hand painted with luscious, ripe fruits and flowers. The colors are vivid and the painting so real, you can almost taste the fruit. KPM fruit plates are of incomparable quality and artistry. CONDITION: 9 plates are without flaws of any kind and are excellent. 1 plate has 3 little spots of paint missing with no other damage.

These 10 porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Koniglich Porzellan Manufactur, or Royal Berlin Porcelain Manufacturer in 1902. There are date letters indicating this year. The plates measure 8 ¾ inches in diameter. They are made of fine hard paste porcelain and have reticulated borders with little ribbons at intervals around the rims. The cut out design is outlined in gold. Just inside the reticulated borders is a band of molded basket weave in relief. The centers of each plate are hand painted with realistic fruits and flowers. They almost make your mouth water. The colors are vibrant. The quality of the painting is nearly photographic. This is what KPM is best known for.

This set of 10 porcelain luncheon plates was produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1901. They have date ciphers indicating this year. They were made especially for the high end retailer, Ovingtons, of New York. They measure 8 inches square. They are all artist signed by S. Stanley. The plates are made of the finest quality bone china. The borders of the plates are ruby red with an adjoining 1 3/4 inch area of ivory color ground. The red and ivory areas are overlaid with intricate raised gilding. There is a reserve in the center of each plate that is hand painted with an array of colorful, realistic flowers. The center of each plate is different. The rims are trimmed with heavy gold. These plates are just stunning. Condition: Excellent

This set of 10 porcelain bowls and 10 plates was produced in France by Jean Pouyat Limoges in 1914. Only one set is pictured, but the price includes the set of 10 matching bowls and plates. The plates measure 7 1/4 inches and the bowls are 5 inches in diameter and 2 inches high. The naturalistic design is an inspiration of the art nouveau period. A factory transfer of trumpet blossoms and vines spills across the surface of each piece. The soft pink and rose blossoms and light green leaves are all outlined in gold. The rims of the bowls have embossed gilding while the plates have embossed and beaded gold. What a delightful way to serve berries and cake or whatever your heart desires. Condition: Excellent

This is a set of 10 crystal glasses that were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s. They are unmarked but the style and workmanship is similar to pieces from that area. They are 3 inches high and the mouth of the glass is 2 1/2 inches wide. They ring when tapped. We think they are cocktail glasses from the shape and size. Each glass is hand decorated with enamel paint with golfers in their traditional dress. The detail is fine. The glasses are trimmed with gold on the rim and foot. CONDITION: Excellent

These 10 porcelain double handled cups and saucers were produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn Dresden decorating studio in the 1890s. The saucers have a diameter of 5 1/2 inches and the cups are 2 inches high. There are Rococo style molded designs in the delicate, translucent porcelain. The handles are also done in that ornate fashion. Each piece is beautifully hand painted with pastoral scenes of young lovers in gardens. There are two scenes on each piece as well as lovely floral arrays. They have elaborate gilded trim and accents on the handles and rims. These charming cups and saucers would have been used for cream soup or bouillon, but with a little imagination, you could use them for fruit or your favorite dessert. Only five are pictured but the set consists of 10 cups and saucers. Condition: Excellent

This 10 piece porcelain game bird set was produced in France by Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman in the 1920s. Not all the plates are pictured, but the set includes 9 plates and the platter. It is a factory decorated set with under glaze and over glaze marks and a factory artist’s signature. The platter measures 19 inches long, 12 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. The 9 plates have a diameter of 9 1/4 inches. The rims on the plates are scalloped. The rim of the platter is molded and scalloped. Each piece is hand painted with flying game birds such as pheasants, partridges, and mallards. The rims are trimmed with gold. The set is colorful and very decorative. Condition: Excellent. There is virtually no wear or signs of use.

These 10 porcelain plates were produced in Lorraine, France by Niderviller between 1780 and 1800 under the patronage of Count Custine. They measure 9 1/2 inches in diameter. They have 6 lobes around the rim. They are made of hard paste translucent porcelain. They are decorated in the style that Sevres used. The decoration is beautifully hand painted with clusters of realistic flowers in vibrant colors. There are sprigs and buds scattered around each piece. The rims are trimmed with gold. This set is very rare and hard to find. Condition: There are several manufacturing flaws that are hidden by the little hand painted sprigs. There is some over-painting and restoration to chips on the rims of some of the plates. The gilding on the rims varies from very good to worn. They have minor surface wear from stacking.

These 10 porcelain plates were produced in England by Royal Worcester in 1932. They have the date cipher that indicates this year. The plates have a diameter of 9 1/2 inches. They are made of fine bone china and have a slightly scalloped edge. The ground color is cobalt blue with a lacy fern type gilding over it. The centers of each plate have hand paint bouquets of flowers in bright colors. The plates are signed by the Worcester artist, Townsend. No two plates are exactly the same. Condition: On the back edge of one plate there is a shallow chip not seen from the front. All of the other plates are in excellent condition.

This set of 11 flint glass cordial glasses was produced around 1830.  It was probably made at the Sandwich glass factory or some other renowned New England glass company.  They measure 3 1/2 inches high and the diameter of the opening is 1 3/4 inches.  These glasses are hand blown with a rough pontil on the foot.  They are cut with a panel pattern. They are colored a bright yellow/amber.  The glasses produce a high pitched ring when pinged indicating the flint content.  These glasses are elegant in their simplicity.  They are an expression of the pre-colonial era in the United States. Condition:  Excellent  

This 11 piece dessert plate set was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1886. They have double markings indicating this period. The set consists of one serving plate and 10 smaller plates. The large plate is 10 inches across the handles and the small dishes are 7 1/4 inches in diameter. The serving plate has pierced handles. Each piece has an apricot colored band around the rim. The decoration is a Japanese inspired transfer print that is hand colored. There are wispy branches of flowers accented with butterflies and round silver Japanese ornaments. The design is very delicate. Condition: Excellent

These 11 porcelain plates were produced in Bavaria by C.M. Hutschenreuther between 1927 and 1941. Black Knight is the registered trade mark used by the exporter Graham & Zenger of New York. The plates measure 9 7/8 inches inches in diameter. They are decorated with a factory transfer with hand painted accents. They are surrounded by fine, lacy gilding of tiny vines and flowers. Bands of embossed gilding trim the rims and around the center of the plates. The colors are vivid and the gilding is bright. Condition: Excellent

These 11 porcelain plates were produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. They have first quality crossed swords markings under glaze. The plates measure 9 3/4 inches in diameter. The plates are deep with scalloped rims. Each plate is hand painted with sprays of colorful flowers and bugs. No two plates are alike. There is delicate gilding trimming the rims. Only one plate is pictured, but the set includes 11 plates. Condition: There is some very light surface wear the light scratches from use. It is minor and is barely visible.

This set of 12 plates was produced in France in the mid 19th century. They are marked with the underglaze Sevres markings but were probably made by a Paris decorator. Each plate is artist signed. They are 9 3/8 inches in diameter. They are made of soft paste porcelain. The set is elaborately hand painted. The center of each place has a different Watteau scene. The style of painting is romantic, soft and dreamy. The borders have etched cartouches and gilding. Delicate and colorful flowers fill the reserves. Garlands of tiny roses drape around the borders. Nearly the whole surface of each plate is covered with decoration. These plates show expert artistry and extraordinary beauty. Condition: There are minor surface scratches.

This set of 12 bird plates was produced in England by the Cauldon factory in the 1890s. The plates measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter. They are made of fine, white bone china. The edges of the plates are fluted and the porcelain has a molded swirl design that is accented with gilding. The centers of the plates are expertly hand painted by the renowned artist, James Birbeck, who specialized in painting game birds. They are painted in fine detail and vivid color and are named on the back of each plate. The manner in which Birbeck painted the landscapes and sky shows his fine artistic abilities. The birds are shown in their individual natural enviorment. Every plate has some wonderful story to tell. Condition: 11 of the plates are virtually unused and in excellent condition. 1 plate has minor use wear to the center. The gilding on all of the plates is intact. There is no crazing in the glaze on any of the plates.

These 12 porcelain cream soup cups and saucers were produced in England by the Royal Cauldon Factory around 1900. The saucers measure 5 ¾ inches in diameter and the cups are 6 inches across the handles and 2 inches high. The cups feature graceful scalloped pedestal bases and split branch handles. All pieces are decorated with elaborate gilding that nearly covers the entire surface. There are knots of colorful hand painted flowers accenting the gold decorations. A lovely rose is at the bottom of each cup and well of each saucer. They were produced with such amazing delicacy and style; they are irresistible. Condition: One small, shallow chip just nicking the gold on the edge of a saucer, keeps this set of 12 from being excellent.
