This porcelain 3 piece coffee set consisting of a pot with lid, cream pitcher, and sugar bowl with lid, was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1860s. The pot measures 10 inches high at the handle and 7 1/4 inches from spout to handle. The cream pitcher is 6 inches high at the handle and 4 inches from spout to handle. The sugar bowl is 4 1/4 inches high and 4 inches in diameter. The set has a deep, rich cobalt blue ground with a mirror finish. The pot features a serpent handle and spout. The cream pitcher also has a figural handle. The pot is decorated with clematis vines and flowers painted with shades of platinum and gold. The other pieces are painted similarly with other types of flowers and an occasional butterfly. The set is accented with wide bands of bright gilding and trim. This is an extraordinary set of the highest quality. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the 1860s. It is first quality and has the under glaze crossed swords marking. The plate has a diameter of 10 inches and is 1 1/2 inches deep. It has an elaborate reticulated border that extends 1 1/2 inches into the plate. The center of the plate has a cobalt blue ground. There is a reserve hand painted with peasant women and a sheep in a detailed landscape. The reserve is framed by an ornate gilded cartouche. There are tiny raised rosettes that are colored blue or gold within the reticulated design. There are areas of elaborate gilding and the back of the plate is gilded as well. This plate exemplifies the exquisite artistry and workmanship the Meissen name represents. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in Germany by Heufel Dresden in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches and the cup is 1 1/4 inches high. The cup is low and wide with the most fantastic handle. The porcelain is hand decorated with garlands of vibrant flowers inside the cup and rows of flowers around the outside of the cup and border of the saucer. There is lacy gold trim and gilded accents on the rims and handle. Condition: Excellent

This set of 6 porcelain bouillon or soup cups and saucers was produced in Germany by the Helena Wolfsohn studio in the 1890s. The saucer has a diameter of 5 3/4 inches and the cups are 2 inches high. The edges of the saucers are scalloped and the handles on the cups are shaped like little hearts. The porcelain is hand painted with tendrils of colorful flowers that drape down inside the cup and across the saucer. The edges are trimmed with elaborate raised gilding. There are other gilded accents and the handles are richly gilded. Condition: Excellent

This porcelain plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century. It measures 7 1/2 inches in diameter and is 1 1/8 inches deep. The fine quality porcelain is colored cobalt blue. There are 3 cartouches containing sprays of vibrantly colored flowers. They are framed with elaborate gilding. You can see delightful bugs and butterflies fluttering amongst the flowers. The border of the plate has the most elaborate hand gilding. There is a gilded medallion in the center of the plate. This porcelain basket was produced in Tettau, Bavaria by Royal Bayreuth in the 1890s. It measures 5 1/4 inches high and 3 3/4 inches wide. The exterior of the basket has a molded tapestry texture. It is decorated with a transfer design of roses in various colors. The handle and base are reticulated. A “pearl-like” finish is used in these areas. R.S. Prussia used similar finishes on their wares. There are gold trim and gilded accents on the handle and rims. Condition: Excellent. To be precise, there is a slight firing crack inside the basket that does not go through to the other side.

The gilding is done in matte and bright finishes. This is an exceptional cup and saucer for the discerning collector. Condition: One tiny chip on the under side of the saucer, keeps this set from being perfect.
