This porcelain perfume bottle with stopper was produced in France in the mid 19th century. It has some impressed letters and numbers but they are not legible. The style of the gilding and the lady’s dress are typical of the mid 19th century and so this would be considered “Paris Porcelain.” It is similar to porcelain produced by Sevres. The porcelain is very fine and thin. The ground color is rich cobalt blue. The reserve has a portrait of a lovely young woman dressed in jewels and finery. It is completely hand painted in an expert manner. The reserve is framed in a hand painted gold cartouche. Condition: Excellent
