This porcelain vase was produced in France by the Royal Sevres Manufactory in 1901. It is marked with an under-glaze green mark and over-glaze green with that year. It is 7 1/4 inches high and has a diameter of 5 inches. The vase is made of fine hard paste porcelain. The ground color is a mottled cobalt blue. There are striations of lighter blue in the deep cobalt giving it a somewhat marbleized effect. The shape presents a unique silhouette. The vase is decorated with trailing garlands of oak leaves and acorns in raised gold. There are gilded swags and ornaments on the upper segment of the vase. The rims are trimmed with gold. This elegant vase will please the most discerning collector.
