| This covered cup and saucer was produced in Italy in the late 19th century by Capodimonte. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches and the cup, including the lid, is 5 1/2 inches high. The porcelain is molded in high relief with scenes and ornamentation. This decoration is hand painted in bright enamels covering nearly the entire surface. There are naked cherubs in varied occupations. They are drinking, playing and reclining. Even the finial on the lid is a cherub. The handles are fashioned after coral. Condition is excellent. | ||
