This porcelain demitasse cup and saucer was produced in England by Doulton Burslem in the 1880s. There is an artist’s monogram on the bottom. The saucer is 4 3/4 inches square and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. Some of the most unusual and intriguing shapes have been devised at the Doulton Burslem factory and this one is in that category. The saucer is a square with rounded off corners. The cup is a bit puffed out in a pod shape. You can see the art nouveau influence in the design. It is hand painted with Japanese style flowers in soft peach and pink hues. It is just adorable. Condition: Excellent
