Guest Book

This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Worcester c.1820 during the Flight Barr & Barr period. The cup and saucer are unmarked but we could identify it by shape in “The Compendium of British Cups” by Michael Berthoud, page 122, plate 727. The saucer has a diameter of 6 inches and the cup is 2 1/4 inches high. The edges of both pieces are slightly scalloped and gadrooned. The ground color is pink. There are reserves containing butterflies and flowers, vividly hand painted. Fancy gilding surrounds these reserves. The rims and handle are trimmed with heavy gold. Condition: Excellent.
