This porcelain cup with tray was produced in France by Coronet Limoges around 1900. The tray measures 9 1/4 inches long and 5 1/2 inches wide. The cup is 5 3/4 inches across the handles and 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, translucent porcelain. It is factory decorated with a transfer that is accented by hand with enamel. The decoration is of violets and lily of the valley. The rims and handles are trimmed with heavy gold. This dessert cup and tray would be used for ice cream or pudding or some other type of dessert, with space on the tray for a biscuit or cookie. This is a most unusual item that is highly decorative.
