| This porcelain vase was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1876 and 1889. It has an impressed mark and a printed mark on the bottom and is also signed in gold on the side within the decoration. The vase has an incised #6. It is 10 inches tall and the opening has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches. The surface of the vase is incised and molded with the design. Enamel colors are applied to the raised areas and gold is painted into the incised lines. Olive green, mauve, gray, brown and dark green are the colors in the design. It shows the influence of the Art Nouveau period. There are 3 dimensional flowers with three leaves around the neck of the vase done in matte finish gold. Touching this vase is a treat for the tactile sense. The texture of the surface is marvelous. This is a rarity in Haviland porcelain. Pieces like this were made for a short period of time. They were deemed too time consuming to create and too costly to produce. Condition: Excellent | ||
