| This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Aynsley in 1856. It has this year in the mark. The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/4 inches and the cup is 2 1/2 inches high. The cup has the distinctive handle Aynsley used. The decoration has the influence of the Orient of flowers scattered around the porcelain in no particular order. The ground color on this set is a vibrant deep rose. There are water lilies and reeds done in heavy enamels. It creates a dramatic effect. There is gold trim on the rims and handle.
