| This porcelain covered box was produced in Europe in the late 19th century. It is unmarked but the porcelain and workmanship appear to be German or Austrian. The diameter of the box is 3 1/4 inches and it is 2 1/4 inches high. The ground color is a rich cobalt blue. There is a reserve on the lid with a vividly colored, hand painted bouquet of flowers. The painting is of high quality. The reserve is framed with ornate raised gilding. There is gilded trim on the rims. It would be a lovely item to display or for personal use.
