Rare Antique Spode “Dollar Pattern” Bowl in Red
This porcelain bowl was produced in England by Spode, c. 1805. The pattern was the inspiration of Spode around that period. The bowl has a diameter of 9 1/4 inches and is 2 inches deep. It has a 1 1/4 inch rim around the edge. The decoration is richly hand painted in vibrant colors. The design is taken from the Asian influence and you can even see that the back is painted with Canton style. The bowl has this elaborate design done in four colors and gilded accents. The rim is trimmed with heavy gilding. This is a stunning piece for display you would be proud to own. Condition: Excellent with the most insignificant trace of rubbing to some of the paint. We mention it to be precise.
