This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Minton in 1853. There is a date cipher that indicates this year. The saucer measures 5 3/8 inches and the cup is 2 3/4 inches high. The set is made of fine, translucent, white bone china. It is decorated with bands of celeste blue, often used by the Sevres factory. These bands are accented with vines of raised gold. There are garlands of colorful hand painted flowers draped across each piece. The handle and rims are trimmed with gold. Condition: Excellent original condition. There are just a couple of specks in the glaze inside the cup occurring in manufacture.
