This porcelain demitasse set was produced in England by Royal Doulton around 1900. The set consists of a pot with lid, cream pitcher, open sugar bowl and 6 cups and saucers. The pot measures 7 inches high and 5 1/2 inches from the handle to the spout. A saucer has a diameter of 3 3/4 inches and a cup is 2 inches high. The set is made of fine, white bone china. The ground color is medium blue with a mottled effect. There are cartouches on all of the pieces containing exotic birds. There are other reserves that are decorated with colorful flowers. All are framed in elaborate gilding. The handles and rims are trimmed with gold. It is a unique set with a Persian style.
