For the Set
This porcelain tea set containing a tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid and cream pitcher was produced in Germany by Ambrosias Lamm Dresden in the 1890s. The tea pot measures 8 1/2 inches from the spout to the handle and is 6 inches high. The sugar bowl is 4 1/4 inches across the handles and 4 inches high, including the lid. The cream pitcher is 4 1/2 inches high at the handle and 4 1/4 inches from the handle to the spout. The set is made of fine, translucent porcelain. It is decorated by hand in a most elaborate manner. There are tiny gold baskets of bright colored flowers. Swags and garlands of flowers tumble around each piece. Ornate raised gilding is used in abundance. One can only imagine how many days and hours it took to produce this set. It can be the highlight of your collection.
Condition: Excellent. How wonderful that this set has endured many decades in pristine condition.
