This porcelain 3 piece coffee cup, saucer and dessert plate was produced in England in the mid 19th century. It is unmarked with only hand painted pattern numbers on the underside of each piece. The plate has a diameter of 7 inches, the saucer is 5 1/2 inches in diameter and the cup is 2 3/4 inches high. The cup has a comfortable ring handle. The set has a cobalt blue ground color. There are gilded medallions containing hand painted pink roses. Elaborate, hand painted decoration contrasts beautifully against the deep cobalt. Bands of embossed gold encircle each piece. The Victorian style and fine bone china is evidence of an excellent manufacturer such as Brownfields or Bodley. This set will enhance the enjoyment of your favorite coffee.
