For the Pair
This pair of porcelain dishes was produced in Germany by the Richard Klemm Dresden Decorating Studio around 1900. They measure 6 1/2 inches in diameter and are 1 1/4 inches deep. The dishes have an ornate molded reticulated border. The center of each dish has a reserve with hand painted scenes of lovers in garden landscapes. They are well painted in vivid color. These scenes have elegant gilding surrounding them. A 1 1/8 inch border of turquoise blue containing 4 cartouches of flowers and gilded decorations encircles the dish. They are quite elaborate with exquisite detail and artistry. They are sure to attract the eye in any setting. There is a slight difference from one to the other in the gilding on the turquoise border. They are very compatible together.
